Executive Certificate of Professional Practice: Special Needs Vocational Assessors [Level C] (ONLINE)
Different assessment tools used in measuring the general cognitive abilities and skills are introduced, e.g., General Ability Measure for Adults (GAMA) with disabilities, Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), and Slosson Full-Range Intelligence Test (S-FRIT). Learners will learn about the different intelligence indexes and various sub-tests in order to understand the intellectual profile of an adult with disability.
Sensory Profile-Caregiver Questionnaire, Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile Questionnaire, Sensory Profile-Supplement and Short Sensory Profile are used in measuring the sensory perceptual-motor abilities and skills are introduced. Learners will learn about the three key domains: (1) sensory processes/processing, (2) sensory modulation, and (3) sensory and behavioral responses in order to understand the sensory behavioral profile of an adult with disability.
Different assessment tools used in measuring the adaptive behavioral abilities and skills are introduced, e.g., Adaptive Behavior Diagnostic Scale (ABDS), and Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale (VABS). Learners will learn about the different subdomains in adaptive behavior in order to understand the adaptive behavioral profile of an adult with disability.
Different assessment tools used in measuring the functional capacity for training and employment, e.g., Global Assessment for Functionality (GAF), World Health Organization-Disability Assessment Schedule-Version 2.0 (WHO-DAS-2), and International Classification for Functionality, Disability and Health (ICF). Learners will learn about the different assessment tools measuring functional capacity in order to understand the functional behavioral profile of an adult with disability.
Different tools used in assessing the vocational/occupational interest and performance, e.g., Reading-Free Vocational Interest Inventory (RFVII), Career Interest Inventory-Pictorial (for autistic and nonverbal), Functional Assessment Screening Test-4th Edition (FAST-4), Functional Assessment Rating Scale (FARS), and Functional Vocational Assessment & Planning (FVAP). Learners will learn about the different tools assessing vocational/occupational interest and performance in order to understand the functional/occupational interest and performance of an adult with disability.
